“LOVE Music, HATE Homophobia” By Junior Ntakirutimana

While walking through the streets of Washington DC I came across this protest by a group I always see, in Gallery Place Chinatown, called “Israelite School Of UPK”. I always see this group here shouting out things about how “gay marriage is horrible” and “makes him wanna puke”. While I was taking pictures of this from the corner of my eye I see a person dancing with their musicĀ blaringĀ over this guy shouting and the songs “Die Young” and “Born This Way” were playing as she was dancing. FINALLY someone who is expressing themselves in front of these guys. As she dances she holds a cross upside down while prancing back and fourth enjoying herself. Then a guy with clown hair and nose and the rainbow flag jumps in and starts dancing with her.Everyone there had a smile on there face and was cheering her on. I am a strong believer in equal rights and this couldn’t have made my day any better then seeing someone finally expressing themselves. You go LGBT community! I support you!
